Point Of View

Moving for the THIRD TIME in less than 2 months, tons of assignment and presentation, classes and the list go on. Fuhh, I'm so busy. It's only 1 month after the new semester started, never knew I  could get this busy. Lack of sleep, skipping meals, I deserve 1 week holiday in Switzerland right now! (exaggerating, yeah I know ๐Ÿ˜Œ)

And I would like to share my point of view (POV) about some current issues.

1. Beauty and The Beast

Hey, I'm so mad right now. I'm waiting for this movie since last year and this movie has pulled from Malaysia due to the exclusive gay moment.

And there's one guy who gives an extra effort to list down why B&B should not be screened in Malaysia. One of the reasons that he listed down is "we don't want society to accept that gay is okay and LGBT is not our thing. If we agree to screen this film in Malaysia means we support LGBT". Well, please answer my question(s).

(a) .... Dalam Botol the first ever transexual and homosexual film yang dibenarkan untuk ditayang di Malaysia. Pengarah pelakon penerbit semua rakyat Malaysia. And worst, beragama Islam. Kenapa tak ban?

(b) Istanbul Aku Datang/Suamiku Perfect 10/Ombak Rindu and etc menayangkan lelaki perempuan yang belum berkahwin bersekedudukan. Do we support this thing?

(c) KL Gangster/Castello/Gangster/Remp-It all of this film were about gangsters, drugs, prostitutes and so on. Bahasa yang digunakan pun tak sesuai. So, this is our thing? Gansters, prostitutes, drugs, is it okay?

(d) Aku Bukan Tomboy ada watak pengkid bergaduh berebut perempuan kenapa tak ban? Does LGBT only apply to gay or filem from oversea? So, only local movie is allowed to film about this thing?

(e) Maharaja Lawak Mega/Super Spontan/etc banyak lawak double meaning/lucah, lelaki berpakaian seperti perempuan (lembut). Kenapa tak tapis? Kenapa tak buat garis panduan untuk pelawak? If ada, kenapa tak dilaksanakan? Lawak lucah makin menjadi-jadi. The worst thing is program tu untuk tontonan keluarga.

Believe it or not, our film/drama is worst than the gay scene in B&B. I don't support LGBT but I do love B&B. I don't understand why people went crazy about the gay scene.

2. Local skin care/cosmetic product VS import skin care/cosmetic product

I don't know why some girls think it's okay to use the product that did not sell at the pharmacy. And some of them even said:

"Pegi mall beli makeup atas butik Mac, Sephora, Nars, Inglot dan banyak lagi la. Pernah tak korang tanya sale girl tu ni ada lulusan kkm tak?????? Mintak not kkm tak????? halal tak????? Korang tnya tak?????? sebab brand mahal nampak berlagak kalu pakai orang nampak wauuu๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ
Tapi bila orang melayu kita buat bisnes skincare, korang punya selidik habis tarikh beranak๐Ÿ˜ฃ. Tarikh bila mengandung habis korang tanya pasal produk tu๐Ÿ˜’. Tak kan orang melayu islam nak keluar produk tak halal dan haram kan.๐Ÿ˜.. So renung-renungkan. Patutnya kita sama-sama support bisnes org kita. ๐Ÿ™…Bukan merosakkan.. Ingat tu ✌๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘"

First, dapat kelulusan kkm tak dijamin product yang digunakan dah menjalani clinical test. Do you know how important the clinical test is? As an example, kenapa bila awak sakit awak pergi klinik sedangkan ada ubat D'Herbs, Qu Puteh or dari toko jamu yang kononnya boleh merawat penyakit kencing manis/darah tinggi/sakit otot/dll? Mesti awak lebih percaya ubat klinik kan sebab ubat klinik lebih terjamin. Awak tak nak makan ubat-ubat selain dari klinik sebab risau bahan-bahan yang digunakan tak selamat and takut ada kesan sampingan dekat awak.

Same goes here, produk-produk yang tak menjalani clinical test tak dibenarkan dijual di farmasi. There's a reason why you can't buy D'Herbs, Qu Puteh and etc local product from Guardian or Watsons. Awak tak tahu betapa banyak chemical yang tak patut ada dalam skin care tapi mereka letak dalam tu. Maybe awak biasa dengar tentang merkuri yang diletak dalam skin care, how about others? Paraben, BHA/BHT, boric acid, hydroquinone, oxybenzone and fragrance. Do you ever read the ingredients of that skin care and Google one bye one what is the function of that chemical? Nampak mudah, it's just a skin care. Mula-mula pakai memang tak ada apa, sebab dia long-term effect. Rajin membaca then you know how dangerous it is.

Tak salah kalau nak support bisnes orang Melayu tapi berpada jangan sampai effect diri sendiri. Contoh macam Siti Nurhaliza, dia buat skin care and cosmetic product tapi dia buat dengan cara yang betul, I mean ambik masa bertahun-tahun nak siapkan product, buat clinical test ape semua then terus dijual di pharmacy.

One of my lecturers once said, "if there is any product owner claimed that their product is free from chemicals, it's a total bullshit. Everything on the earth is based on chemicals. Even water (H2O). Our body also contain chemical. So, how they want to create a product without chemical?".

It's not about tak support bisnes orang Melayu or berlagak pakai barang mahal (mind your words sister, takut jadi fitnah pula) it's about our health.

As for me, currently, I'm using Clinique Type 2 (for dry skin) as my daily skin care routine. Yes, the price is quite expensive and I didn't wear that product because I want to show off to other people that I afford to buy it. I wear that product because it works so damn fine on my skin. I have tried so many products before this. Finally, I realized that I'm allergic to fragrance in skin care products after I made a skin test and the doctor suggested that I should try this product.

It's okay to have your own point of view about local skin care product/movie or whatsoever but it's NOT OKAY to judge people! I don't know both of you but your statement really pissed me off. I'm actually judging both of you right now.

  4. I totally agree with you! Why did they banned B&B? That is just bullshit! Byk lagi cerita melayu yg tunjuk unsur2 lucah. LGBT is already everywhere now. It is up to the individual. Now we are not stupid. We have internet where there are so many more explosure. Seriously i am so mad when i heard this news.

Talking about skincare, it is up to the individual, kalau mampu beli mahal, belilah. Ade je local brand yg elok, we just need to do a little bit of study

    1. Kan! Cerita Melayu lagi teruk. Biased betul! Yup. Boleh jekalau nak beli local product tapi buatlah study sikt. Mostly tengok testimoni 3 hari dah cerah terus berebut nak beli. People nowadays, beauty = white/fair skin + skinny. I don't understand this trends :(

    1. Hahaha it's okay, everyone deserve to give their own opinion :) For me, it seems biased. Sedangkan cerita Malay lagi teruk dari cerita B&B. It's just based on my opinion :)

  6. I am excited for Beauty and The Beast too but things that make me curious rn is how far does the gay scene goes that make our government decided to hold the screening ._.

Nak support barang kita pun ada garisannya jugak ._. you can't expect everyone would like oranges as much as you do? Same goes untuk buku [yg takperlu dinyatakan disini], netizen marah sebab macam merendahkan kualiti industri itu sendiri; takkan masih nak support bila jelas-jelas tompokan lohong dekat situ ._.

orang selalunya akan deviated, attack that person personalities instead of their judgement.

I'm currently using Cosmoderm and its work fine with me ._.

    1. IKR! I read few reviews about that gay scene and seems like nothing serious pun. I don't know. bukannya ada sex scene (and I'm not crazy to support film with sex scene to be screened in Malaysia).

Yup, exactly! It's okay kalau nak guna local brand boleh tapi kena buat study sikit. Jangan based on testimoni je. Testimoni pun boleh tipu jugak

  7. Setuju on B&B. I was so mad that they ban the movie because of gay scene while our own film industry pon ada je that kind of scene !

I use clinique too and I'll be freaking mad when people said "kaya boleh la pakai clinique" like hello, I don't wear it because of the price but because of the good effect on my skin.

  9. As a pharmacy student, point kedua mmg dekat di hati gitu. banyak skrg doktor and ahli farmasi cuba sebarkan awareness, even kami pon time study masok dlm kampung apa semua, slow alk what not. problem sbb ada yg mmg pakai bahan kimia yg bahaya, itu yg jd isu tu. people can be affected negatively!

"if there is any product owner claimed that their product is free from chemicals, it's a total bullshit. Everything on the earth is based on chemicals. Even water (H2O). Our body also contain chemical. So, how they want to create a product without chemical?". hahaha, serius lawak dengar org cakap ada bahan kimia bahaya, omg, hang tu bahan kimia jugak!
